He Is Worthy | Worship, Holiness & the Glory of Jesus

He Is Worthy | Worship, Holiness & the Glory of Jesus

When we say He is worthy,” we are declaring one of the greatest truths in all of Scripture.

Jesus Christ alone deserves all glory, honour, praise, and worship—not because of what He does, but because of who He is. His worthiness does not depend on our circumstances. Even when life changes, His worth never changes.

Revelation 5:12 declares:
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honour and glory and blessing!”

This message will open your eyes to the greatness of Jesus and stir your heart to worship Him more deeply.

POINT 1: HE IS WORTHY BECAUSE HE IS THE CREATOR

(Colossians 1:16 — “All things were created through Him and for Him.”)

Jesus is worthy because He made everything—
the universe, the earth, the seas, the stars, and even you.
Nothing exists without Him.
Everything has purpose through Him.

Why this matters:

  • You are not an accident.
  • You were created intentionally.
  • Your value comes from the One who formed you.
  • If He designed you, He can sustain you.

He deserves worship because all creation exists to glorify Him.

Everything in existence has its origin in Jesus.
Colossians 1:16 says:
“All things were created through Him and for Him.”

This means:

He is the Source

Every star, every mountain, every creature, every drop of water exists because He spoke it into existence.

He is the Designer

Nothing God creates is random.
Your life has purpose, destiny, and meaning because God authored it.

He sustains all things

Creation is not running on its own—Jesus holds it together.
If He can sustain galaxies, He can sustain you.

Why He is worthy

  • Because life flows from Him
  • Because nothing exists without Him
  • Because we breathe His breath
  • Because we live by His grace

He is worshiped simply because He alone is the Creator.

POINT 2: HE IS WORTHY BECAUSE HE IS HOLY

(Revelation 4:8 — “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty.”)

God’s holiness is His perfection—His purity, righteousness, and flawless nature.
No sin, no darkness, no evil is in Him.
He is set apart above everything and everyone.

This means:

  • His character never changes
  • His judgments are perfect
  • His love is pure
  • His promises are reliable

We worship Him not only for His power but for His perfect, holy nature.

Holiness means perfection — in purity, justice, love, and character.

God is pure

He is untouched by sin, darkness, corruption, or evil.

He never changes

His holiness doesn’t shift with culture or time.
His standards are perfect, His judgments are right.

His holiness makes Him trustworthy

Because He is holy:

  • He cannot lie
  • He cannot fail
  • He cannot betray you
  • He cannot abandon you

He deserves praise because His nature is flawless.
There is no one like Him.

POINT 3: HE IS WORTHY BECAUSE OF HIS SACRIFICE

(Revelation 5:9 — “You are worthy… because You were slain.”)

Jesus didn’t win our hearts by force—
He won them by sacrifice.
He took the cross, carried our sins, bore our shame, and paid the price we could never pay.

Why He alone is worthy:

  • No one else died for your sins
  • No one else conquered death
  • No one else redeemed your soul
  • No one else gave His life to save you

The Lamb who was slain deserves eternal praise.

No one else died for your sins

Others may love you, but no one else carried your guilt.

He paid the price you could never pay

Sin required death — but Jesus stepped in and took your punishment.

His sacrifice shows perfect love

He died willingly, not because He had to, but because He wanted you.

His love is eternal

The cross is not just a moment in history —
it is the eternal proof of His love for humanity.

He is worthy because His love is unmatched, sacrificial, and victorious.

POINT 4: HE IS WORTHY BECAUSE HE DEFEATED THE ENEMY

(1 Corinthians 15:57 — “Thanks be to God, who gives us victory through Jesus Christ.”)

Satan, sin, death, and darkness were defeated at the cross.
Jesus triumphed with authority and power.
No king, no ruler, no force on earth can match Him.

This gives you victory:

  • Over fear
  • Over bondage
  • Over sin
  • Over discouragement
  • Over every demonic attack

We worship Him because the One we serve already won.

Jesus did not only die — He rose again in victory.

He defeated sin

Sin no longer has power to enslave you.

He defeated Satan

Satan was disarmed at the cross.
He can tempt, but he cannot triumph.

He defeated death

Because He lives, you also will live.

He defeated fear

His presence gives courage.
His victory is your confidence.

He is worthy because He won every battle you will ever face.

POINT 5: HE IS WORTHY BECAUSE HE IS THE KING OF KINGS

(Revelation 19:16 — “King of kings and Lord of lords.”)

Every earthly king rises and falls.
Every nation changes.
Every ruler dies.

But Jesus reigns forever.

Why His kingship is different:

  • His kingdom is eternal
  • His throne never shakes
  • His authority never ends
  • His reign is righteous

He is worthy of all honour because He is the Eternal King.

Earthly rulers rise and fall

Empires crumble.
Presidents change.
Nations shift.

But His kingdom is eternal

It has no end.
It cannot be shaken.
It cannot be overthrown.

His rule is righteous

Earthly leaders make mistakes.
But Jesus rules with justice, wisdom, and perfect authority.

He deserves honour

He is worthy because He is the Sovereign King,
the ruler of heaven and earth.

POINT 6: HE IS WORTHY BECAUSE HE TRANSFORMS LIVES

Jesus is not distant—He is involved in every detail of your life.
He heals, restores, forgives, strengthens, comforts, and guides.

He is worthy because:

  • He lifts the broken
  • He renews the weary
  • He heals the sick
  • He comforts the lonely
  • He fills with the Holy Spirit
  • He sets captives free

No one changes lives like Jesus.

Jesus is not a distant God — He is actively working in hearts.

He heals

Broken hearts, sick bodies, wounded souls — He restores all.

He forgives

He wipes away guilt, shame, regret, and the stains of the past.

He delivers

Chains of addiction, fear, sin, and oppression break in His name.

He restores

He gives beauty for ashes, peace for anxiety, hope for despair.

He renews

He gives new strength, new dreams, new identity, new purpose.

He is worthy because only Jesus can change a life from the inside out.

POINT 7: HE IS WORTHY OF YOUR WHOLE HEART

Worship is not just singing—it is surrender.
It is trusting Him when you don’t understand and praising Him even in the battle.

He is worthy of:

  • Your time
  • Your thoughts
  • Your love
  • Your obedience
  • Your worship
  • Your life

When you surrender fully, you experience Him fully.

Worship is not just a song — it is surrender.

He deserves your trust

Even when life is confusing, His plan is perfect.

He deserves your obedience

Because His words lead to life.

He deserves your devotion

He gave His life — we give Him ours.

He deserves first place

Not second, not third — first.
Above your job, your fears, your desires, even your success.

When Jesus becomes your everything,
He fills your life with His peace, presence, and power.

Worthy is Jesus forever!

In the mighty and precious name of Jesus we pray,
Amen.
